So… what is tepache?
Tepache is a 400-year-old Mexican drink—gently fermented from fully ripened pineapple and warm spices. In markets from Mexico City to Oaxaca, it is prepared in clay pots and served with ice—fruity, naturally sparkling, and alive with cultures.
We tasted it on a trip in 2022. We came home, found African pineapple, and spent a year searching for a recipe that would preserve what makes tepache alive. Today, it is the first Slovak fermented pineapple drink.

Why do people drink Tepache
Digestion
Live cultures and prebiotic fibre support a healthy gut microbiome. Fermentation predigests sugars — the stomach gets an easy job.
Immunity
Vitamin C from fresh lime, polyphenols from cloves and Ceylon cinnamon, natural enzyme bromelain from pineapple.
Energy
28 kcal per 100 ml. Caffeine-free, no jitters, no added sugar. Light enough for the afternoon.
Skin
Antioxidants from star anise and Ceylon cinnamon. Hydration in liquid form — your skin will notice.
Five spices. One pineapple. No shortcuts.
African pineapple
Fully matured — three days of fermentation for maximum flavor, fiber, and enzymes.
Ceylon cinnamon
"True" cinnamon - sweet, woody, gentle warmth and low coumarin.
Cloves
Aromatic depth and powerful antioxidants for natural defense.
Egyptian Mint
Cools the spice, lifts the aftertaste. Fresh, green, vibrant.
Star Anise
The depth of liquorice — the secret of the recipe.
Fresh lime
It balances the sweetness – the only acid we add.
Honest nutrition.
The only sugar is what the pineapple brings — fermentation eats most of it. What you taste is the fruit seasoned with spices.

Naturally less than 0.5% alcohol – about the same as a ripe banana. We don't add yeast or sugar, so it remains mild and suitable for the whole family.
Same family, different fruit. Tepache is pineapple-based and ferments for days, not weeks. Less vinegar, more fruit, gentler on the palate.
Many people drink tepache precisely for digestion. If you're a beginner with fermented drinks, start with half a can and observe how you feel.
Best within 24 hours, sealed in the refrigerator. The fizz will weaken, but the flavor will deepen—excellent in cocktails or over ice.
It's a live drink. Heat kills the cultures. We send it cold so that what's in the can is what we made.
In an insulated cardboard box with cooling inserts. Delivery to SK, CZ, AT, HU and DE.
Yes. Under 0.5% alcohol — just like natural fruit juice. For younger children, we recommend diluting with sparkling water, as the spice can be strong.
Serving instructions: chilled, in a wine glass, slowly. Five flavours gradually unfold — pineapple, lime, mint, then warm spices follow.
Try that ritual.
15 cans, 5 spices, a fridge that suddenly looks more interesting.
